When elegance meets celebration, memories are made. Recently, we were honoured to bring our signature cocktail-making experience, “Laugh, Shake & Drink It!”, to a beautifully restored private mansion nestled on the edge of the forest in Derbyshire.
This special occasion was planned with great care by the bride-to-be’s mother, who wanted to give her daughter a unique and memorable hen party surrounded by close friends and nature’s serenity.
A Thoughtfully Curated Experience
Set against a backdrop of tall trees and golden afternoon light streaming through the windows, our mobile cocktail bar was perfectly positioned in one of the property’s elegant reception rooms. The venue’s charm provided the ideal atmosphere — intimate, tranquil, and inviting.
Leading the session was our experienced mixologist Jon Ale, who guided guests through the art and craft of cocktail making. Far more than a simple class, the activity was designed to bring people together through shared laughter, storytelling, and sensory enjoyment.
Each cocktail came with a short introduction, a touch of history, and professional guidance on how to mix, shake, and garnish — empowering each guest to create something they could be proud of.
A Day to Remember
Throughout the experience, guests shared stories, bonded over shaking techniques, and toasted to the bride’s next chapter. The bride-to-be herself was radiant, surrounded by the people who knew her best, and clearly touched by the thoughtful surprise her mother had arranged.
The setting, the drinks, and the care put into every moment reminded us why we love doing what we do — not just making cocktails, but crafting meaningful experiences that bring people together.
